The Spider that caught the fly

This spider has been working hard in my garden to build an awsome web. He won't be going hungry for a while. If you know what type of spider he is please let me know.
Blogger First Time Mommy has left a link on comments for this post suggesting this is European Garden Spider - it certainly looks like it
Southwold Pier

Warm sunny weekend said the weather forecast so we headed out to Southwold to blow away the cobwebs. Well you can see from the pics how sunny it was there. Grey damp fog hung around the fashionable seaside resort like a cloak.

We had lunch at The Crown and had a stroll along the seafront past the famous (cost an arm and a leg beach huts).
As we drove home the fog lifted and bright sunshine bathed the scenery in a golden glow! Typical.

Old Buckenham Airshow 29 June 2008
Old Buckenham Airfield was an airbase used by the Americans duing the 2nd World War. Walter Mattheu and Jimmy Stewart were based there for a while so the place has a great history.
